The first day of school is: August 10, 2023.
The students bring a lunch each day along with a drink. Elementary students should bring a personal water bottle to school each day.
The Woods on Lakewood Forest has both preschool and elementary
students.
Preschool: 2 years through Pre-K/Bridge
Elementary: Kindergarten through 5th Grade.
Preschool hours are from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm (9:00-
1:00 at Cedar Point).
Elementary hours are 8:30 am until
3:00 pm.
Before school care is available beginning at 7:15 am, and
afterschool care is available until 6:00 pm. Preschool
students enjoy art, music and movement, story time,
outside adventures, and indoor play with toys, puzzles,
and games.
Elementary students enjoy outdoor play such as soccer,
basketball, Gaga Ball, and free choice games in the gym
with hula hoops, jump ropes, and skip-its. Snacks are
served to all students who stay past 3:15 pm.
The following extra-curricular programs are offered after
school on varied days throughout the week: Archery at
Home, Art, Chess, Coding for Kids, Dance, Simple Thimbles,
Soccer, and TaeKwon-do.
The best way to learn about the The Woods Private School

an in-person tour. An Elementary Preview is held each
year during February/March for all upcoming elementary
students.
The admission process begins with a phone conversation
or email for more information. Students typically tour the
school, meet the teachers, and visit the classrooms. All
new elementary students must be assessed by a Woods
staff member before enrollment is confirmed.
Prospective students will meet with a teacher in the grade
level for which they plan to enroll. Students are required
to bring any report cards, academic, and attendance
records. After the assessment, the teacher will make a
recommendation for the new school year. Students are
considered enrolled once the registration form is received
along with the payment of the registration fee.
Uniforms are required for elementary students only and
worn Monday-Thursday. Friday is “free dress” day.

Current students at The Woods are automatically enrolled
each year through the FACTS system.
New students will follow the admission process for new
students.
